The Firbolg are referred to as the Primordial inhabitants or early gods of Ireland and can be compared with The Titans or Olympic Gods of Greece.

The Annals of the Four Masters tells us that they ruled Ireland between 1934 and 1897 BCE when they were defeated by the Tuatha Dé Danann and driven into the most westerly areas of the country where they became the first fairies of Ireland.  The nine Firbolg Kings are listed as Slainge, Rudhraighe, Gann, Geannan, Sengann, Fiacha Cennfinnain, Rinnan, Foidhbhgen and Eochaid.

This looks like a mid ranking Firbolg or possibly a younger member of the royal household.
